Mama Shakuni of Mahabharata is no moreGufi Paintal passed away at the age of 79

Actor "Gufi Paintal", who played the role of "Shakuni Mama" in Mahabharata, died on Monday at the age of 79.

Actor Gufi Paintal, best known for playing Shakuni Mama in the TV serial "Mahabharat", died at a hospital here today due to age-related causes.

His family is aware that he was 79 years old

A case was registered 7-8 days back of the veteran actor's admission to a hospital in the suburbs of Andheri

Talking to PTI, his Hitesh Paintal said- "Unfortunately he is no more, he died in the hospital around 9:00 am".

Hitesh told that his uncle's health was not good due to his age," which was blood pressure and heart related diseases, he was walking unwell. When the condition became serious, we took him to the hospital for treatment. He was there for 7 to 8 days. She has been in the hospital since she was initially in critical condition,

Paintal's illustrious credits included Hindi films in the 1980s such as 'Suhaag', 'Dillagi' as well as the television shows CID and 'Hello Inspector' but it was not until his debut as Shakuni Mama in BR Chopra's 'Mahabharat' that I his crafty uncle made him famous and made him a name,

 PTI reported that the last rites will be performed at a cremation ground in Nagar Andheri by around 4:00 pm today.

He is survived by his son, daughter-in-law and grandson

टीवी धारावाहिक "महाभारत" में शकुनी मामा की भूमिका निभाने के लिए जाने जानै वाले अभिनेता गूफी पेंटल का आज सोमवार को उम्र से संबंधित कारण से यहां एक अस्पताल में उनका निधन हो गया 

उनके परिवार ने यह जानकारी दी है कि वह 79 वर्ष के थे 

दिग्गज अभिनेता को उपनगरीय अंधेरी के एक अस्पताल में 7-8 दिन पहले भर्ती कराया गया था

पीटीआई से बात करते हुए हैं उनके भतीजे हितेश पेंटल ने कहा कि-"दुर्भाग्य से अब वह नहीं रहे, सुबह करीब 9:00 बजे अस्पताल में उनका निधन हो गया",

हितेश ने बताया कि उनके चाचा उम्र के कारण स्वास्थ्य ठीक नहीं था,"उन्हें रक्तचाप और दिल से संबंधित समस्याएं थी,वह अस्वस्थ चल रहे थे जब हालात गंभीर हो गए थे तो हम उन्हें उपचार के लिए अस्पताल ले गए वह 7 से 8 दिन से अस्पताल में है वह शुरू में उनकी हालत गंभीर थी,

 पेंटल के अभिनय क्रेडिट में 1980 के दशक में हिंदी फिल्में जैसे 'सुहाग', 'दिल्लगी' साथ ही टेलीविजन शो CID और 'हेलो इंस्पेक्टर' मैं भी शामिल थे लेकिन बी.आर.चोपड़ा की 'महाभारत' में शकुनी मामा के रूप में उनके चालाकी भरे मामा ने उन्हें फेमस बना दिया और उनका नाम बना दिया,

 पीटीआई ने बताया कि अंतिम संस्कार आज शाम करीब 4:00 बजे तक नगरिया अंधेरी के एक श्मशान घाट में किया जाएगा

उनके परिवार में उनका बेटा बहू और पोते हैं
